Yamanoha
A small wooden shadowbox you look into.
Tilt your phone and the scene has depth: grass at the glass, a family in the middle, mountains and sky at the back. Eleven scenes to move between, each with one thing to tap.
How to use it
Tilt or drag to look around the box.
The brass plaque at the bottom changes the scene. Tap the small dots above it to jump to one.
Tap the scene to do whatever the plaque says: call the butterflies, trace the stars, wake the fireflies, ring the bell.
The brass button beside the plaque puts your own family in the box. Choose a photo and everyone in it, pets included, gets a hand-drawn stand-in.
Putting your family in
The photo is read entirely on your phone and is never uploaded or stored. Only the handful of colours and choices it works out are kept, on your device. If someone comes out wrong, every detail is adjustable in the same sheet: adult or child, hair, glasses, build, and every colour.
It needs faces that are reasonably clear. Very small, very dark, or side-on faces may be missed.
Saving a picture
You can save the current view to your Photos as a spatial photo, which shows depth on devices that support it.
